Heroes: Alric, Gothos, Sinhim
The Heroes investigate the cavern of Yggmorgus, a mushroom of titanic proportions. At its feet, a horrific wedding rehearsal is taking place. Mushroom-infested humanoids gorge themselves in filth, unaware of their decaying flesh. They sing the praises of Araumycos and Zuggtmoy, soon to be united in marriage.
When the Heroes enter Yggmorgus, they see the huge form of Zuggtmoy herself... the Lady of Decay is in the Underdark, and she's readying herself for her wedding! Fearing for their lives, and with their minds assaulted by madness on all sides, the Heroes retreat to inform the myconid leader Basidia of what they've seen. They suggest he gathers those myconids that are still sane to leave the Grove, since soon Zuggtmoy will enslave them all.
Before they leave, the Heroes take the time to hunt down and destroy Phylo, the myconid elder first responsible for spreading the Lady's madness in Neverlight Grove. Then they leave, bound to Gracklstugh, City of Blades.
During the long days of travel, they find a hooked horror lair under siege from a band of gnolls. They kill the invading gnolls, and a few hook horrors. But when they spot the hook horror mother defending her nest of eggs, they decide to leave the lair, and continue to the duergar city.
