Session 2

Heroes: Alric, Gothos, Sinhim, Druid

As they plan their escape, the prison outpost is attacked by several flying demons. The Heroes take this opportunity to search a few of the guard towers, and steal some equipment. Then they jump from the platforms into the cold waters below, and rapidly make their way out of the cave and into the tunnels.

Together with them, several other inmates have escaped. They decide to stick together unit they find safe haven. After a short discussion, the group decides to move to the kuo-toa city of Sloobludop, ten days of travel away.

During their voyage in the Underdark, they face some of the local monsters, but are also confronted with weird dreams of madness and fear. An evil influence is spreading in the Underdark, but for the moment all they can think of is survival.

After a week of travel, one of the tunnels they're exploring collapses, revealign the entrance of an ancient compound. Hoping to find some more supplies, the Heroes decide to explore the new-found tunnels.

Session 1

Heroes: Alric, Gothos, Sinhim, Druid, Keothag

The Heroes are prisoners of the dark elves of Velkynvelve, together with several other inmates. They soon begin to plan their escape, but security is very tight, under the cruel gaze of elite drow warriors, and their leader, Mistress Ilvara.

During their working duties, the Heroes begin to cause some trouble, with Keothag ending up getting beaten senseless, and Gothos managing to throw himself off a ledge, to dive into the murky waters below. The half-orc survives the attack of a grey ooze, and then hides in the darkness pondering his next move.

Above, on the platforms and stalactites of the prison, help arrives from a traitorous drow. He promises to help them escape, and leaves their cell open at night. The Heroes welcome the unexpected help, but can they really trust one of their captors?

Le Druid

Dark Elf Druid
Hermit

You want to know my name? I got plenty of them. Before leave me to die because I was not born a girl to make a priest, my parents would have called me son... Strangers call me Dark Elf... My enemies would rather not knowing my name at all... Only few know my true name... and those are the Beasts and the creations of Nature.... You want to know my name? Be a Follower of Nature... Or you can just call me... Druid.

Retired (session 12): Simply gone.

Keothag Rockbreaker Kolae-Gulane

Goliath Fighter
Far Traveler

Keothag of the Kolae-Gulane was the secondborn, and had to prove his strength towards his big brother Vaukhal. As Keothag was shy of nature, he focused on his strength and learning of all sorts of fighting tactics to try and prove to his father that he was a worthy son.
Eventually his father agreed that for one fall, Keothag was allowed to scout the southern fields of the mountain to try and track down the Rock, a stone Giant that has been an obstacle for safe passage for years. Keothag was able to defeat the stone giant due to observation and his cunning skills of fighting. He therefore chose his middle name Rockbreaker.
However , when he came back , after the two months it took to defeat the giant, his whole clan had dissappeared. He found traces of struggle, but also the smell of magic. Foul, dark stinking drow magic.
He knew it would not be easy, but he must set aside his shyness , and venture underneath the mountains to find out what happened to his family. And if the filthy drow were part of it, he would destroy them all.

Retired (session 9): While the party was resting for the night in an ancient tomb, Keothag decided to leave without saying goodbye...

Sinhim

Deep Gnome Rogue (Mastermind)
Faction Agent

As a young gnome I was quickly intrigued by the darker side of some of my father friends. When I grew a little bit older one of his friends introduced me to this group called "The Black Network". Little did I know this was going to influence my whole life.

Death (session 21): Killed by Xazax the beholder.

Alric

Human Cleric (Life) / Fighter
Soldier

Born of a tavern wench and a noble father, Alric was sent to join the military forces from an early age. Quickly noticing that the boy took more to caring for others, than wanting to kill them, the camp officer sent him to learn from the combat medics so he could spend his time saving lives & treating injuries.
It didn’t take long before Alric was one of the camp’s more able healers, considering his young age. After a drow raid on their camp, Alric found himself surrounded by bodies & severely injured men. Alric knew he couldn’t save them all, there were simply too many.
At this point, Alric started to crumble under the pressure of the screams & death rattles. This is when he heard a voice ‘Calm down my son, you will not be able to take care of them all, such is life. But I will guide you and help you to save as much as you can’.

Alric saved many of the men that night, more than anyone could ever have hoped. When he looked upon the dawn of the new day, he again heard that same voice: ‘Now go my son, seek those that worship me, the Morninglord, they will be able to teach you more about Life & Healing than you could ever learn on your own’.
At this time, Alric felt a stinging sensation on his shoulder. Upon baring his arm, a rising sun was imprinted on his skin, marking him as Chosen by Lathander.

Death (session 21): Killed by Xazax the beholder.
